About the Wonga Park Dog Kennel project

Located just 25 minutes away from Melbourne CBD, Homestead Boarding & Training Kennels and Cattery is one of Australia’s largest premier dog training facilities. When renovating their facilities, they initially decided to use natural turf but soon discovered that the surface would not accommodate heavy foot traffic and maintain its beautiful aesthetic. The owners decided to turn to synthetic turf instead, reaching out to the team at Premier Grass to see how we could help. 

After selecting their desired turf – our K9 HeavyDuty® 30mm with K9 HeatBlock® technology, antimicrobial protection and triple-layered backing – we got straight to work. To make matters difficult, the installation was completed during the pandemic, meaning that we had to be extra cautious and ensure that we could operate in accordance with COVID-19 regulations. 

The Premier Grass team worked tirelessly to ensure that the project was delivered on time and that the final result was worthy of a high-quality kennel. And it paid off – we were able to finalise the installation just in time for training to begin! As one of Australia’s best kennels, Homestead deserves only the best facilities and now they have a next-generation surface that will provide the best performance long into the future.
